Hi, I’m Christopher Greer

From a Resident to a Mentor

About Me

My name is Chris Greer, and I’m a creative and driven individual with a background in leadership, performance, and personal growth. I began music at a young age, singing in church with my mother, which led to my involvement in music throughout elementary school, where I also served as a school ambassador. Although I wasn’t able to continue music during middle school, I returned to it in high school, where it became an important part of my development.

I graduated from Valdosta High School, where I was part of the chorus program all four years and served as a section leader, an experience that taught me accountability, teamwork, and leadership. After high school, I attended Valdosta State University, where I studied theater as a major and psychology as a minor for one year. Over time, I realized I wanted a more hands-on and purpose-driven path, which led me to shift my focus toward preparing for a career in the United States Army, motivated by growth, structure, and the challenge of contributing to something larger than myself.

Then God said, ‘Let the earth sprout vegetation, plants yielding seed, and fruit trees bearing fruit…’ and it was so.
— Genesis 1:11-12

Genesis’ Prayer

In the beginning, You planted a seed, Small and unseen, yet filled with need.

Buried beneath the weight of the ground, Still it rose when Your voice was found.

From the cold north to the bleeding south, Life was spoken from Your mouth.

Through every obstacle, trial, and pain, The seed kept reaching through wind and rain.

When fresh green leaves began to appear, New challenges rose and drew near.

Like overgrown trees blocking the light, They stood as giants, prepared to fight.

Yet just as You cared for the growing plant, You carried me through what I thought I can’t.

Through locked-up places and narrow roads, You strengthened my heart beneath heavy loads.

Lord, I thank You for all You have done, For every battle fought and won.

From my beginning until this day, You have kept me along the way.

So let me grow as that seed once grew, Rooted in faith and sustained by You.

For through every season, come what may, Your hand has led me all the way.

Amen.
